What is Loaves x Fish Foundation, Inc.?

The Loaves X Fish Foundation, Inc. (LXFFI) is a non-stock, non-profit organization registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). Founded by former Philippine Ambassador to Singapore, Mr. Joseph M. Yap, LXFFI operates a charity kitchen that provides nutritious meals to those in need, through partner parishes, organizations, and other institutions in the Philippines.

LXFFI is a non-affiliated charity and is envisioned to be wholly run by volunteers, apart from a handful of staff, and completely supported by donations.

What is the mission of Loaves x Fish Foundation, Inc.?

The Loaves X Fish Foundation (LXFFI) focuses on providing nutritious and well-balanced meals to the underprivileged, especially the abandoned, the forgotten, the disabled, and the malnourished. LXFFI works with partner parishes and institutions to reach these vulnerable populations and provide them with much needed nourishment support in order to help them achieve well-being and become productive members of the community.

Where is Loaves x Fish Foundation, Inc. located?

LXFFI’s charity kitchen is located along Dotcom Drive, Northgate Cyberzone, Filinvest City, Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Our kitchen is easily accessible, and there is ample parking available for volunteers and visitors.

What are your hours of operation?

LXFFI is operational on Monday-Saturday, from 7:00am -5:00pm.

Who is eligible to receive meals from LXFFI

LXFFI does not distribute meals directly to individual beneficiaries. We work with partner parishes and other NGOs to provide nutritious meals to those in need. If you wish to be one of our partner organizations, please contact us through our email address.

What kind of meals does LXFFI serve?

Loaves X Fish Foundation Inc. provides a variety of hot, nutritious, and well-balanced meals. We ensure that our meals contain all necessary nutrients, and they generally consist of a main course of protein, vegetables, and rice.

How can I donate to LXFFI?

What types of in-kind donations does LXFFI accept?

We accept a variety of in-kind donations to support our cause.

Food items: Canned goods, rice, pasta, condiments, dry beans, bread, and fresh produce. Please ensure
that all donations are within their expiration dates and properly packed.

Non-food Items: Hygiene and safety essentials like dishwashing liquids, disinfectants, detergent, hair
nets, face masks, and hand gloves.

When can I send and drop off my in-kind donations?

You may drop in anytime during our operation hours, Monday-Saturday, 7:00am – 5:00pm. For bulk donations, please contact our secretariat at 0939 931 5265 to arrange drop-off.

Volunteering

How can I volunteer with your charity kitchen?

What types of volunteer opportunities are available?

We have various volunteer opportunities, including food preparation, cleaning, and administrative tasks. We also welcome volunteers with specialized skills that the kitchen might need, such as nutritionists, accountants and the like.

Do I need any special training to volunteer?

No special training is required. We will provide a short orientation session to familiarize you with our kitchen's operations and safety procedures. All volunteers are expected to follow our safety guidelines and code of conduct.
